Degraded Voice Quality Investigation

Incident Report for IPI Platform

Resolved

We are pleased to report that our upstream carrier has confirmed the actions taken to reroute voice traffic have successfully resolved the call quality issues previously affecting a proportion of inbound and outbound calls.

Following the reroute implemented at approximately 10:15 BST, service performance has returned to expected levels. Our supplier has advised that call records and customer feedback are both indicating normal service operation.

We will continue to monitor the service closely; however, the incident is now considered resolved.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience and understanding.

Update

We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Our upstream carrier has identified an issue affecting a proportion of calls across its voice network, which may result in poor audio quality on some inbound and outbound calls.

To mitigate the impact, voice traffic has been rerouted away from the interconnect where the issue was observed. While service performance has improved, investigations remain ongoing as voice quality metrics have not yet returned to expected levels.

Our supplier is now working with an upstream carrier to identify and resolve the underlying cause. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide a further update as soon as more information becomes available.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
